VIDEO: A Golden Spiral for Forbes Garden
Rammed earth, an ancient construction technique, was combined with modern engineering principles to create this artfully spirlaling wall in Princeton University's Forbes Garden. Tim Michiels, a Ph.D. student; Sigrid Adrienssens, engineering professor; and Amber Lin ’19, a Pace Bogle fellow in the Form Finding Lab, collaborated with me on the video project, which included sending my Olympus Air camera 13 feet over the site to track the progress.
